Fortunately we didn't attend this year as the same thing happened to us last year and the Wife didn't think it was such a good idea to go. But of course there'll be none of this happening next year.
Maybe it's not such a bad thing, as I'd probably be doing bird at the moment! Not unlike our fearless local resident Linda Walker

Don't mean to be contraversial, but Linda DID attempt to shoot at kids... Shooting at people, regardless is not acceptable, to me anyway.
she shot at the floor by the feet of some animals.
Shooting at Chavscum is quite acceptable to me, only I wished she had used a proper gun!

I thought you lived in the US and this was par for the course!?
Seriously, I do understand what you mean though.
This is the second time this has been brought up today. I've been in the US less than a year. This does not mean I am complete odd with UK stuff. I'm in the UK as we speak...
They were not animal, they were kids... Yep, they may have been annoying, and little bastards, but does that mean they deserve to be shot??

I'd forgotten this, you're correct. She should have shot them between the eyes.

Not dead shot no, but wounded shot with something that would string and hurt a bit? Absolutely. Yes.
And what of a stray pellet/ bullet accidentally caused one serious harm? So
what they we're trying to put others in serious harm. >> Edited by timmy30 on Friday 11th November 16:56

No.. the copper should have gone round, given them a clip round the earhole, the arents should have battered crud out of them, but they shouldn't havebeen shot... the woman was let down, severely by the authorities, but shooting peiople aibn't gonna help.
Why?
Shooting the little fecker in the arse or leg is going to help, it's going to hurt, bruise and deter them from doing it again.
They wouldn't have been vandalising stuff in the first place if people were allowed to protect their property.
