I have the AA parts n labour warranty on my cerb.

At £58 pa it is remarkable value!! Claim limit = 3 x £500 pa.
The only issue (not really an issue for TVRs) is that the AA need to come to the car, they need to try and fix at roadside and if they fail to fix then you can get it lowloaded and then can claim up to £500 towards the repairs. All the usual wear n tear stuff applies.
So I recommend that you all try and get it !!!!
I understand that they MIGHT not be keen to take on TVRs. So I THINK you might get away with covering another car from your 'fleet' and then changing/switching to the 'newly purchased' TVR thereafter. I cant guarantee this works BUT it did work for me.
Never pay for a starter motor, clutch seals etc again!
I use APM and cos the labour rate is so competitive I can get a lot done for £500.

Have signed on to this thing. It makes economic sense.
As with all other warranty-type stuff, there will doubtless be times when they don't pay whn they ought to have, or when they do pay out to the lucky cheeky chappy who didn't deserve it.
I hope to not abuse them though- if they are hesitant about TVR's then I don't want to add to their suspicions!

I have this and have spoken at length to the AA about it. In their first year of operation the underwriters changed the terms of their agreement with the AA because of the volume of claims. As a result the AA closed the offer to new customers and changed the terms & conditions on renewal for existing customers. We are now in the trial year and provided the underwriters are happy at the year-end then the AA will offer renewals again. Obviously the AA is being very vigilant to make sure that people aren't bending the rules. I know this from bitter experience. I had a breakdown but managed to get the car to a local garage for safekeeping. The AA wouldn't consider the claim because I had, in their words, 'Made arrangements with a repairer'. That cost me over £400.

I've just renewed my cover (last Monday) and it is still the £1000 claim limit for £99. Or at least that's what they're charging me for.

Same here, Im on my second year of the £99 option, although I believe they are only continuing with the £58 option for new customers. Tried adding my daily driver by paying another £99, but they were having non of it...1 car per membership.
NB You have to have AA membership. You cant just have the warranty on its own
Ive had 3 or 4 claimable problems but like an idiot Ive taken the car into the garage before the problem caused a non start/drive, hence not being able to claim off the AA...I will one day though

I'll check my documentation very carefully, if it ever arrives (I only received one of the three reminders and the documentation went out last week). But they have definitely billed me for £99

On another note, I may be spending some more time your way in the New Year; so we'll have to meet up for a beer.
I'm probably the culprit that's responsible for them withdrawing the £99 option. Busy using my last claim to repair the clutch, £1100's worth, last time it was diff bushes and my first claim was for master/slave cylinder seals. Best £99 I've ever spent
