tvr owners who also have a lotus

I have a griff and a lotus elan+2 [ both in bits ]. How many of you out there own both marques? I know of a few but maybe there is a clan of us, John

I have a TVR Griffith and a Lotus Seven replica (MK Indyblade) if that counts?

..... was Elan thru and thru till 18 months ago ...

I had :
1969 elan plus 2 S - in need of work for MOT ... I was young so
went mad - new chassis - new everthing else -strip down respray ...
(al this then wrote it off after a few years)
1974 elan plus 2 130/5 JPS - got as a new project just before writing
first one off - remained a project moving from garage to garage until
I sold it as a project 18 months ago
1967 elan plus 2 - custom - fitted with flip front and 2.5l triumph straight 6
a rolling project that I eventually sold same time as JPS to help fund the cerbera
1998 Cerbera - wow a league appart - but still love elan plus 2s but wouldnt swap!

I have a Chimaera and a few years ago had an Elan plus 2 S130/5 which I owened for 11 years. I also had an Elan S1 for a short time.

Hello!

I have a 4ltr Chimaera and an M100 Elan SE Turbo

They are a good balance of different styles of fun. The Elan is my daily car and has been for just over 3 years. The Chimaera is my big muscle beastie for noise and longer journeys. Still struggle to chose each morning though.

I do have to make clear to myself which car I'm driving or I'll possibly kill myself!

It was interesting to compare the construction quality and methods of the two, when I first got the Esprit. For some reason I thought it'd be better-built than the TVR...

We have a Sagaris and due to a mid - life crisis I am looking at buying an Elise to replace my MR2.

So by the time the weekend is over we could be in this group

Nice pic, must be eenie, meenie, minee, mo at your house each morning. Don't remember my old Esprit being so small compared to a wedge. Nice though.

That's opposite Ian's house.
The old guy who lives in that one is about 90, and not very good in his Micra.

Last time I was visiting wedg1e, the old boy tried to demolish the side of that bungalow whilst reversing out.

You have to park 'defensively' there.

after 4 years of TVRs (and one still on the driveway) I can say the Elise is a revelation. Totally and utterly brilliant in every sense. You wont regret it.

I was expecting some comments about age ........ and I have to say that I do feel a little hesitant owing to 'getting on a bit' ( not that it's ever stopped me before)

I keep asking Bal to talk me out of it but he wont.

His excuse is that you only live once so if you want it - get it
