Just got a letter this morning saying I'm on the f@@king waiting list for camping tickets. That's having reserved them in JUNE. It wouldn't happen in this country.
You're right. If the race was in this country it would be run by Octagon, who would charge you £500 to camp in a lake and send you the tickets 3 months after the event. Not that the authorities would close roads to run a race.
Rang 'em today. Told 'em I'd booked in June (as soon as I got back from Le Mans), so how can I be on the waiting list?

cks .Last year I booked in September, but they'd sold out on 23rd August. And no, you can't book for 2004 yet. Not until after the 2003 race they say. Got to give the ripoff agencies first bite.

£165 and about 8km from the circuit but well worth the money imo as all food is provided and its a secure site.
