Gunsons Eezibleed

Hi,

I need to bleed my newly restored brake and clutch systems. I was thinking of buying the Gunson's Eezibleed system. Can anyone confirm that one of the caps that comes with the Eezibleed kit will actually fit my clutch and brake master cylinders?

I have the brake master cylinder with the reservoir on top which I think is the Ford Sierra one.

if you have a compressor buy a vacuum bleeder that sucks the fluid through the system rather than blowing it
i bought one of these a year or so ago and wondered why i'd messed about for years

I agree vacuum bleeders are the way to go, you can also get hand pumped ones.

Where can I get one of these wonderous pieces of kit? Vacuum Bleeder that is, no ezibleed.

Forget where I got mine, but it was one of the online tool stores iirc.

Find your local Sealy tools stockist, they are doing a Christmas price of £35 for one of the sucky vacuum type bleeders.

frost.co.uk do a hand-triggered vacuum pump - I bought one and it's good.

I found it very difficult to get a seal between the tube and the bleed nipple though - it was drawing in loads of air past the tube.

I've got a Gunsons Ezibleed and I've used it on my S2, no problems, great bit of kit.

I concur with Phil - used one on my S3 and it did the trick just fine. The only thing I would add is that you have to be a bit careful with them, especially when disconnecting the connector from the tyre valve as the depressurisation of the system can release a bit of brake fluid.

Haven't used the vacuum type one so can't comment on that I'm afraid. Sounds like it may be easier to use though.
