downloaded it for free on my cousin's advice - bl00dy broadband. discovered these hidden cookies with names like "sextracker" now i know it sounds dodgy but I haven't been on any 'mucky' sites (!) so either the missus isn't telling me something (!) or the buggers have infiltrated the system despite having all the antithisthatandtheother i have.

is this common practice for 'sex' sites to use other sites.. the only thing i can think of is downloading daft car movies.. cos otherwise we tend to only go on 'mainstream' sites...

It sounds like you may have been onto something with sex related content, which could be something normal like putfile or something of that sort.

You don't really need to worry anyway as cookies for the most part are completely harmless.

some of the american drift movie type sites are less than salubrious so it might be that.

I think sextracker has its name because a 13 year old wrote it. I would not be suprised if it turned up fron non-dodgy sites

Hahahahahahahaha someone has been looking at filth on your computer, own up! We've all done it, it's perfectly natural to want to ogle at pictures of beautiful women, I have lost many a pound of protein frapping to the 2 dimentional wonders courtesy of IE7! You need a programme called "Spider" which will show you exactly what's on your "Index.dat" file, so if you've been looking at porn and haven't realised, this programme will tell you, either that or measure your forearms, I expect you look like a fiddler crab!
