Just seen this on exiges.com site regarding the security features:
"Central locking is activated by the remote. The door lock does very little, just a catch to open the door... "
The door locks do provide deadlocking- you lock the car with the fob, then turn the lock using the key. If you then 'unlock' the car using the fob, you cannot open the doors again until you use the key in the lock. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone's missing out on extra security! Don't think it's in the handbook but the dealer mentioned it on the handover.
