Although Neoprene is pretty road-compliant being a soft compound and all, its not what I'd call a performance bushing material... Polyurethane is the way to go, plus I remember doing a comparison a while back and technically speaking, PU has twice the tensile strength of NP.... in a beast like yours, I'd say PU is the way to go IMO...

Bugsy is the man, great prices too!

Unless you want someone to completely tune up the handling etc too.... in which case Joolz...

But knowing you, being a hardcore hands-on-man, you'll be doing it yourself so in that case Bugsy's your man!

ta, and yep looking forward to specing spring rates and playing around with new LEDA's. Try with std bushes first (but poly the roller bars). Want a fast fast road car compromise not Track track!

Makes sense, but poly isnt so bad for suspension bushes too... order a set for both... give it a go and decide from there... bugsy does refunds too... so all good

Most likely will - just a HUGE amount of work for all 16 - expect mega dampers and the rate springs I am fitting to really get it in then ball park anyway - ploy stuff once really laid up for the winter - it is a 2+ day job but will take weeks if doing a few hours at a sitting!

Respect where its due mate... I wish I had the garage space and tools to do this kind of work myself, most of us would save a packet... I dont mind spending a week on doing something myself if it means I get to save a grands worth of labour and get to optimize things to my own personal liking...

Regarding the Leda shocks, any particular reason why you chose these? did you consider ProTechs/Gaz/Avo's???

Are you talking about the chassis mounts, or the drop links? I reckon it's well worth removing all flex from the ARBs, especially for an application like yours where you will be going fairly stiff on the front. The effect on the ride quality is minimal.

When I investigated this on mine I found that the chassis mounts are actually pretty rigid despite the appearance, because of a steel core in the rubber. The bush is designed to be squishy in torsion but firm sideways if that makes any sense? I tapped the bush and converted it to a completely solid metal-to-metal fitting and it made no difference at all that I could see. If you do decide to fit solid mounts here, aluminium blocks are the way to do it. The aluminium naturally work hardens and is absolutely ideal for this. But there isn't a great deal of compliance in the rubber bushes anyway - on mine, at least.

The rubber ball joints on the drop links on the other hand are crying out to be replaced with spherical bearings - unless you're replacing them them with proper adjustable ARBs in which case the replacements certainly won't come with that rubber cp anyway.

I'd guessed we were talking about the bushes in the Wishbones from the quantities mentioned.
