Can you repair run flat tire punctures?

got a very small puncture - some garages say yes, some no but what is the real answer?

My neighbour had a puncture in his Cooper 's'. Garage said it couldn't be repaired, and what would have cost him £10 on a normal tyre to repair, cost him £85 for a new tyre.....How annoying.

Actually quite a result - £85 is very cheap for runflats!
Where did he get them at that price ??
