Any body out there know where the oil pressure regulator is? In the bible it states that a tap with a hammer can free it up if it sticks so must be outside engine?
I have a small problem with low oil pressure showing on gauge, even though brand new sender fitted supplied by TVR Parts.
I am doing oil change soon so what oil is best in all your collective knowledge?
15w50 semi synth
15w50 fully synth
and what brand?

by the way thanks to you all for replying on my bad running problems. Got it sorted right now, all it took was:-
to reset plate level in inj system, reset timing, reset mixture, reset idle screw oh and wind back the bloody throttle stop that some monkey had set to keep it running without doing above jobs!!! runs sweet if a little warm at times.

From memory the oil pressure relief valve is on the side of the oil pump, its usually just a spring and ball bearing all you can do really is make sure it is free of dirt.
More likely that the oil pump gears are worn.

Do not part with big money based on the dashinstrument. Even though chances are you now have a good transmitter in the circuit.

Rig up, or have your dealer rig up, a calibrated gauge. Do not drive if it is low, your bearings may suffer.

I use 5W40 ExxonMobil synthetic with on spec pressure (ehhh, on the dash instrument that is).

the Motor may be going though soon to be replaced by a S2 so what this space

anybody want a nice S going for good price to a good home?
