nice a/c knobs

I'm always irritated by the two choke knobs and crumby bakelite backplate for controlling the a/c. Anyone have ideas for alternative knobs that might fit ?

Plenty of alternatives, but they can't be seen when under the dash anyway?

My car's builder slapped the switch plate in front of the passenger. So quite a lot in view in this case. Have you any alternatives in mind ?

my google and ebay searches on alternative knobs don't always bring back the desired results...

Do you mind a plain knob or do you want them engraved?

It's nice to be offered a choice. I assume these are standard Ultima with a snowflake and a fan icon and a D section sleeve fit.

I don't like their look, nor not knowing what settings they are turned too. So ideally a nice aluminium knob with a dot or similar to demark.

Any ideas ?
