Intermittent cabin heater/fan

Has anyone had problems with the heater/fan in an S2? Mine seems to work when it feels like it - which at this time of year is a tad inconvenient!

Anyone got any ideas before I make a trip down to my local Service Centre?

sounds like a resistor has gone

Should be fixed FOC if your car is within warranty

mine just stopped working this morning
just after I smelt a burning aroma
when set on screen blow

How easy is it to remove fan assy?

Same symptoms as me - but bad news I'm afraid. Mine is a broken heat box, the whole lot is being replaced and apparently it's a common problem.

Not easy to fix either, the front clam has got to come off!!

Thank God for a warranty!
