Hi All,

Somehow it seems my Trip B gauge resets itself after about 7000 miles - done it twice now. Does anyone elses do this? Pity as i use this to measure the service intervals.

Yep. Its annoying but true. Trouble is you have to wait for so long to work out whether its you or not ! Suspect it goes at around 6,500 miles.

It could be a 10,000km limit which would be around 6200 miles.
Probably only has 4 digits for the read out.

Strange it does that, as I think i can recall in the Manual it says to use the Trip B as a service mileage indicator for an example. Since the service interval is 10K miles a call for mr.cockup i think.

Made the same mistake as I did Mark, the service interval is 15K not 10K. The service manual you probably have is, if you look very carefully, not actually for the Corvette.

Thanks Peter..... Is it 15K miles or km for a service then? Just that the Oil Life indicator seems to be consistant with 10K miles.

It's 15K miles for service. Yup my oil does not last that long either!! The oil change is not linked to the service interval. The GM official schedule is when the monitor tells you, which will happen between 3K miles and 15K miles "usually". The vehicle must have an oil change within 12 months or 15K miles of last oil change. The official servcie schedule is...
15K miles check air cleaner filter if vehicle is driven in dusty conditions (Nevada desert?) - change if necessary
30K miles change air cleaner filter
45K miles - as 15K miles
50K miles (auto trans only) change transmission fluid and filter IF vehicle mainly driven - heavy traffic and outside temperature exceeds 90F - or in hilly or mounatianeos terrain - or high performance operation
60K miles - replace air cleaner filter; insoect drive belts
75K miles - as 15K and 45K miles
90K miles - replace air cleaner filter
100K miles - replace spark plugs; inspect HT leads; if auto transmission change transmission fluid and filter. manual transmissions do not need fluid change

repeat from 15K miles except at 150K miles drain and flush cooling system or at 5 years whichever occurs first

I will leave it to you to dscern if and when you fancy changing the manual gearbox fluid and differentail oil; and if you want to wait 100K miles for the spark plugs
