Interesting, yet, a rather alarming example of just how petty it all is

Why does a website campaigning against PC lunacy remind you of the BNP?

Because they started out with good ideas, and at the core they still have good ideas, but they carry them too far and put peoples backs up..........we shall see if they can get the balance right.

Started out with good ideas?, please

Let us leave aside all the loony PC stories, they are the mere surface signs of the poison.

Let us examine the term 'politically correct'. It means what you can say should be determined by what is politically acceptable not by truth. This is already a powerful force for censorship particularly in the place the poison was born, the campuses of America.

"All must accept the notions of the Politically Correct as truth, or else! This is the same mentality that inspired the Inquisition and forced Galileo to recant; the same mentality that inspired the Nazis and obtained the Holocaust. Once expression gets placed in a straitjacket of official truth, then the madness that occurs in all totalitarian states is obtained. Life, in private and public, becomes a meaningless charade where delusion thrives and terror rules"

But what is politically acceptable?; why that minorities are victims of white male oppression and the actions of all public and private organisations should be determined, at least in part, by the need to offer remedial justice to these poor victims.

Political Correctness is Marxism for a new generation. Instead of the class struggle of the working class we have the struggle of minorities of every description against white middle class males.

I have described it as a poison and that is indeed what it is, one of the most dangerous philosophies in western civilisation.

I didn't say I disagree with their ideas about pc going too far.......but sometimes these groups start out trying to re-balance the scales a little, and through members being over zealous, or bad choices in putting their ideas across can and does as the BNP found out, alienate people they originally appealed to.

I really do hope they can do something to re-dress the balance and get rid of some of the stupidity of pc, but they will have to tread carefully, as by starting this campaign, they have become politically incorrect and will be a target for every pc group going. Alot will depend on how they reply to these groups.

Unfortunately the BNP replied with violence and insults, and therefore became a party of ridicule. Hopefully this group can learn by others mistakes.

Thats very reasonable of you, but why would you want to be reasonable with these people. The lentilist movement are striving to make most of the things you and I enjoy illegal. Is it reasonable to be determined to kill Exon? Is it fair to lie about global warming so governments outlaw travel. Is it justified to put speed humps on every road even though they are proven killers? Yes? No? Is it not time to criminalise these charlotans and punish them for their crimes. The cat the stocks or the gallows? I dont care really but we need to squash this nonsense fast and being reasonable should have ended a long time ago tife for action this is war.

Oh sorry Grasswidow, I think I misunderstood you before.

But I would say that I think that the fight against Political Correctness and the BNP have not got much in common.

You can be totally against PC whilst believing in a multi-ethnic society.

Do you mean the people that are "politically correct" or those that are against it? For me, your comment could be true in both cases.

Yes not all pc is bad, but they go too far. Most of the things we grew up with are politically incorrect now. I didn't realise we had all turned out such a bad bunch of adults that we needed everything changing to make the next generation turn out better.

Hopefully the anti pc lobby can redress the balance without going too far in the other direction.

How about an anti-"going too far" campaign? It'd cover both bases and save on administrative costs.

We believe that people should be proud to be British

Sorry, but I'm having trouble with this concept. I'm Dutch, and while I am comfortable with the fact that - set against 95% of the rest of the world - I am probably very lucky to be born into the world in The Netherlands - as there was no decision or whatever involved on my part, how exactly should I be proud of that? By having been born and raised in a politically (and geographically - not exactly a given when half your country is below sea level ) stable and relatively affluent region with generally 'enlightened' views on humanity, it's fair to say that I am profiting from the achievements of those that came before - but I can't claim any part in this history.

It seems to me that folks placing undue emphasis on their descent as something to be proud of, generally do this as a compensation for lack of pride of their own achievements.

So scary.

Some of the comments about how kids in school and nursery are treated.

My girlfriend niece is going to a christian school, which is meant to be good for education, so even though they are getting brainwashed in one way, it's harmless in a way vs the PC brainwashing they'll get in normal schools I think!

I can see, 2044, it really is George Orwell's nightmare, just 60 years too late. The younger generations and even our own kids will be shopping us older folks for going against the system and saying petrol is good etc

Really is scary some of the stuff you read on there. Who moans and complains and gets offended so easily? I really think we need another proper war to put some people's lives in perspective a bit! More important things to worry about than the ice cream MAN getting slightly offended because they are infact a woman
