i think the price for an average car is about £10-£15,000, usually with a few spares (wheels etc.)

then you have to look at the cost of running one, engines cost the best part of £12,000, and most people have 2, then you have to add the price of a gearbox, tyres, entry fees....it all adds up to a pretty expensive way to go racing in a mini!

if you click on the link that Neil8p has put in his post above, then go down the left hand side, you'll see 'calendar 2005', this shows where all the rounds were held.

Cost quoted on above are for a full works spec motor from the likes of Swiftune/Longman. This is a drop in ready to race powertrain (Engine + dog box) unit with management etc. If you've half an idea how to set up and race a FWD car it will put you at the sharp end of the field. I don't know many people that start like that..!!!

Browse the "Cars For Sale" section - When they are available - 10K will get you a very reasonable racing package. Entry fees are managed to be some of the cheapest in the countryn and average out at £170/round. The Mini Se7en Club also get the opportunity to race at Spa Francorchamps (Have been invited again in 2006).

If Mini Miglia seems like a financial commitment too far, have you thought about Mini Se7en? Same idea, 1000cc and maybe even more competitive.....
