Had a meal in the Wagamama, Reading today with my daughter (who's at Uni there) and wife.

Probably the best chinese meal I have ever had :yum:

If you've never been to one, you have to try it.

Although I like Wagamama's, it's really just fast food, and because of that I think it's a touch over priced. A couple of starters, a couple of mains and side dishes with rice and a beer a piece can easy set you back over £30.

Having said that, I do like it. The Manchester one is a bit crap, but the Dubai one is excellent.

PS : Waga's is Japanese, not Chinese...!

I was going to say, it's Japanese not Chinese.

Been the Reading one a few times myself, very nice (although I agree with the price thing).

Is that because the Cats go *in* only ..... but not *out* ?

Oh.. If you ever travel to Southern Africa - be *very* careful of the fast food on offer....... I was offered some shish kebabs on a long bus journey .... couldnt quite figure what they were ....... turned out they were

"mice kebabs " - with limbs still intact

Fair mistake though, as I think it's owned by Chinese / Hong Kongese.

The Wagamamas in Reading is certainly a slick eatery. Being near the Cinema, it competes with Nandos for our pre-film meal.

You can be in and out in 30mins, and in fairness it's not much more then a handfull of nachos with cheese tasting plastic in the cinema!

Chicken Katsu Curry is out of this world!

One little warning - I've not found any of their beers that are actually brewed outside the EU

I quite like The Royal China in Bayswater.

Their Dim Sum selection is amazing.

Has anyone else visited them ?

Nandos is just (IMHO) a KFC charging 4 times the price...

Except the food seems to be ready quicker in Nandos...

I like Wagamamas. Only annoying thing is the way they bring out the dishes when they're ready instead of all at the same time. A PITA when you're in group. Food is great though. Gets my

I like their attitude towards dietry requirements. They actually have a list of what already is and and what changes are required to make things glutin free, dairy free, diabetic suitable etc...

I wish more places were that tolerant.
