I'm looking to buy some Paul Smith jeans off the net and the sizes given are european, i think, not sure though.

The choices i've been given are:

38/48
40/50
42/52
44/54
46/56

Any ideas what they equate to?

She asks this on a website with mostly car-obsessed male posters.

I imagine they're centimetre measurements, for waist/leg respectively. Go to Google and do the ol' "38cm in inches" search, et voila.

I'd make some comment about '30cm in inches' being a regular Google search for me, but it's too early.

'Er indoors reckons you add 30 to your usual size to get the European sizing... Of course she may have ballooned overnight and was trying to disguise the fact she's buying size 42 jeans...

I'd be more inclined to trust my woman than me on this issue.

Ladies, please note this is not an admission of error on my part.
