I would risk a little bet that vixpy1 will be off like a shot when he reads this......

(Back to) the Silk Road through Central Asia - simply fascinating part of the world.

Also Persepolis though that might be difficult given the current situation in the region.

Have you ever seen this before?: www.angelfire.com/extreme4/kiddofspeed/chapter1.html

I thought it was brilliant, loads of picture and great stories about what happened. Perople still living there today though is a bit scary!

That woman was busted as a fake ages ago.

It doesn't lessen the impact of the photographs on the site though, they are real.

Cape Canaveral.

I've been there at least half a dozen times, Eric (we've got timeshare in Florida). It really is awesome! There is a Saturn V rocket on display - it's huge. Just one of the 5 engines must be 30 feet or more in diameter. When you think it was built using 1960s technology it's pretty spectaculat.

They've also preserved the control room where the moon landings took place - much smaller than it looks on TV. Also, it really does look like 1960's technology.

Lastly, it's cheap to go to. Presumably subsidised by the Tax Dollars!
