Anyone remember the Mayfair suite / kinetic circus in brum?
Discussion
Hi guy's,
Just after a bit of local info from the past.
Does anyone remember the Mayfair suite in Birmingham (part of the old Bull Ring Just by New Street Station) in the 60's & 70's?? - I think it later changed names to Kinetic Circus.
It was used as a dance / live music venue - does anyone have any memories of seeing any gigs there?
The reason I'm asking is that it's now been converted to office space and the company I work for are taking it over early next year - and thought it would be interesting to find out who played there - so we have a bit of history behind the building.
I have info that the likes of Alice Cooper, AC/DC, The Buzzcocks, The Faces and Black Sabbath all played there - but what I'm trying to find is if Led Zeppelin ever played there (theres a bloke at work who swears he saw them) I only have info relating to Kinetic Circus for Led Zepp - and am not entirely sure if Kinetic Circus is the same place as the Mayfair Suite.
Sorry for the long post guy!!
Chris
