If I didn't have to sleep...
Discussion
Driving back from some obscure place in South Wales today, thought what diference it would make to my life if I no longer had to sleep, and then what a diference it would make generally if people didn't have to sleep.
For one thing it would half property prices, as we could all live in tiny houses with a lounge and a kitchen with a room for clothes and geting changed. There would be no traffic congestion as the working day would be done away with, and a big growth in jobs in chidcare. We could do our schooling and be at work by the time we were 12. As we would all probably be dead by 55 no need for pensions, care homes etc.
TV advertising would be worth a fortune and so would the leisure industry selling everyting we don't have time for (gyms, libraries etc).
Have I missed anything?
I intend to write to Gordon Brown suggesting we prescribe amphetamine for everyone never to sleep again...all problems solved.
