As the title suggests, I'll be attending a Hallowe'en party this year. Competition for the best costume is fierce, and there's always a pretty good prize for the best costume.

Last year I went as Jack, the unfortunate backpacker from "An American Werewolf in London". I was declared joint winner with someone who'd made their own "Ghostbusters" particle accelerator backpack, complete with flashing LEDs. Like I said, competition is fierce!

I'm looking for suggestions because I'll need to start making the costume soon. Store bought costumes are considered bad form. I'd been thinking of going as "Bubba Ho-Tep" - bandages, cowboy boots and cowboy hat. However, I'm open to ideas. Stuff from films seems to be a favourite theme of the judges.

And you can spare me the usual pictures of the bloke dressed as female genitals, and the pervert-priest. :)

Cheers!

A few years ago... I went as Doctor Jekyll & Mr Hyde.

Having grown a beard for a few weeks and not cut my hair, I had a halfhead hair cut and style and shaved half my beard off - before getting dressed up in a 1/2 & 1/2 costume of a suit & doctors coat stitched together at the front and back...

It worked really well, looked the dogs danglies and I won 1st place..

I'm not sure you will have time though..
