Hi all,

My current energy deal with fuse finishes on the 26th of November.

Currently paying
0.1846 kwh and 0.391 standing charge for electricity
And
0.0542 kwh and 0.2792 standing charge for gas.

The next best rate from them is not bad BUT is 24 months, a lot can happen in 24 months the rates could go back down a fair bit.

The prices are
0.2451 kwh and 0.4330 standing charge electric

Along with

0.0888 kwh and 0.1510 standing charge.

Our usage is 14200 for gas and 4390 for electricity.

Not found much better with any other supplier and im not against paying a few quid extra for the simplicity of staying with fuse.

I am dithering massively, would you fix for 24 months right now at those prices, come January they will seem pretty cheap but in 18 months im not sure, or do people recon the global st show will continue well into 2028/ 2029

My current deal is up soon too. Im contemplating switching to a short fixed or one with a zero penalty cancellation, thinking that the better deals will likely be in the warmer months rather than now. Looking on the MSE switch page its not clear if the forcasts for the deals that track below the cap take into account the proposed rise in the new year.

I don't think you will replace those numbers. I have just taken a 24m fixed deal with Eon next. It's 24 m on their side you can exit any time at no penalties.
I think we have a big increase coming in January to be announced late Nov so I got on a deal now .
I wanted cheaper electricity slots in my deal eon had that .

Next saver 24 I think it was called.
