What continuation cars, in the spirit of Jaguar's new E types and Bentley's 4 1/2 litres, would we like to see money no object?

I'd go for a Gordon Keeble and an XJ13.

Can this be anything we would like ?

I think a Honda Concerto V8 AMG would be good.

I'd have a McLaren F1, Ferrari F40, F50, 288 GTO, 275GTB4, 500 Superfast, Daytona, a Monteverdi 375L and a Monica 560.

But I'm greedy!

ISTR that the only 'Honda' V8 sold in a production car was, in fact, the venerable Rover V8.

That wasn't a Honda engine, and Honda never put it in any of their cars. They have never made a V8 engined road car.
They have, however, made V8 engines for indycars and F1 cars, and currently make a 5l V8 boat engine.
They also make a jet engine, for their little jet planes.

You are thinking of the first gen Honda Crossroad, which was a re-badged Land Rover Discovery.

Originally a Buick design, but improved by Rover to make it stronger and easier to manufacture, then subsequently developed into different capacities.

Incidentally it was a Buick marine engine.

There was a 'Honda' of the original Land Rover Discovery, it was called the Crossroad.

Are we counting that?

And of course there was the Rover gas turbine engine, used in Jet 1.
What a fantastic company the Rover car company was - surely deserving of a P5, p6 or SD1 continuation series.

Is that right? I thought it was designed as a car engine which then found its way into a marine application

No its not.

The Buick 215 that was sold to Rover (also used by Pontiac) was designed from the beginning for automotive use, and in fact was not the same engine as the small block Buick marine engine.
