Just had an update from Ancestry.

Looks like I am more British than the King.

Bit boring really.

To be sure, to be sure, boyo.

It’s actually added some Midlands origins, it was previously 50:50 Welsh and Irish.

Does correspond with known ancestors though.

My heritage is strongly Welsh.

Although it got massively diluted as the males had a habit of marrying English women.

hehe

It'd be fascinating to see the king's results to see how narrowly Germanic they'd managed to keep it.

I'm really not sure how Ancestry work this out etc as every time it updates its massively different.

I think I started off being English, Welsh, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian and German. The next update I lost Danish and Gained Irish. My sister had Scottish on hers and we share the same parents.

It's been updated now and I'm English and Welsh only.
