Scallops... Where to get decent ones off the internet?

Scallops....

Such a simple thing that never had much impact on my life... until now.....

So I'm based in Birmingham and used to get my Scallops from Pearce's Seafood in the Bullring Market, never had any issues , always good quality King Scallops.

They sadly have moved on. I tried another Fishmonger there and was done over like a kipper. Frozen in the Bag they looked like King Scallops, once defrosted, they shrunk 75%!

Sadly, I was cooking for the MiL... Yeah, just brilliant. Not.

Anyway, can anyone recommend an online retailer they've used that delivers King Scallops that they were really happy with?

I've had the same shrinking problem. What made the biggest difference for me was buying scallops sold as dry packed or frozen at sea, they hold their size in the pan. If they're suspiciously cheap and look very uniform, they're usually soaked, which is what causes them to weep all that water out.

If you just google "Brixham fish market direct" there are a number of guys who supply by post who are on the market themselves. 99% of the online suppliers will be going through them anyway.

Be warned, some are a lot more expensive than others!
