For the past couple of years the campsite exists have been closed by the end of the race, opening 45 mins later. I guess in an effort to control traffic.
Does anyone know if they do the same with the official car parks?
Panorama was open last year, albeit you were forced to head West on the dual carriageway for quite a long time before any exits were open to turn around.Does anyone know if they do the same with the official car parks?
Last few years we've packed in the morning, and moved the car to a location that is fairly reliably easy to get out and outside of campsite boundries.
Pretty much when the cars have finished we head out and on last few occasions have been out with pretty much no hold up. Been enough times to not worry to stick around for the podium unless something significant has happened.
Meant we were easily back at Calais for a eurotunnel on the Sunday.

Not sure if they actually did the whole "campsite lockdown" thing this year. Certainly where I was no signs went up and there was only the short delay you'd expect for them to sweep the road and remove the barriers before people started to flow, slowly but steadily out of Hippodrome and Prairie.

Thats possibly because the exits aren't crossing pedestrian routes out of the circuit?Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
