C63 W204 Dolomite Brown Estate
Discussion
Hello. I thought it was about time I did a readers thread on my brown C63 W204.
A facelift estate in Dolomite brown paired with porcelain Designo leather. I believe it to be the only brown C63 of all body styles in the UK and one of three in Europe.
I ve previously owned a pre-facelift W204 estate (older gearbox) along with more recently a W205 wagon. As you'd expect for 80% of driving the W205 is a much better daily (interior, tech), however it simply didn't have the same magic as the W204 - hard to describe if you've not driven one. When the brown one came up, after missing out of it a few years ago, I had my heart set.
The colour changes with the light and on a dull day looks rather plain, however when the sun pops out so does the paint!
The car is mechanically standard and with thanks to Tri-Tec Automotive in Swindon (excellent AMG specialist), has just had all the common maintenance items on these done for piece of mind. This included both rocker cover replacement (one was leaking), cam adjusters replaced (63 motorworks), aux belt & tensions, new injectors (hydrolock worries), front discs & pads, rear springs, two new PS5s.
Plans include Le Mans next year and more of Europe as well as regular car meets in the Midlands. Anyway, here she is!

My old car! I owned this from 2020-2023, I think the only thing I added was the MB cup holder insert to the centre console and the only thing I fixed were a wheel speed sensor and sensor on the AC condenser. Oh...and tyres (obviously)
Brilliant car and I'm really glad it's finally found a buyer that bought to own and not flip. If you have any questions about it, please ask! I still remember calling the person I bought it from who initially posted his Autotrader ad without initially uploading photos. "one thing...the autofilled bit of the advert says 'colour - brown'.....erm...is that correct?!"

Hey. Small world. I saw your post many years ago and ever since then I’ve been trying to find it! Although it’s changed hands a fair bit, fortunately it still has full Mercedes / specialist history and with the thanks to Tri-Tec and it’s recent overhaul I’ve got it to exactly where I wanted it!
No idea how the car came about but when it was new it was immediately sent over to Ireland and then came back to Brooklands
Thanks for all your kind words
Looking great, Matt!
We both owned the same S205 and agree 100%, the S205 is the better car but lacks the emotion and theatre of the S204. I had huge seller's remorse seeing the S204 drive away, I didn't have it when you drove off in the S205.
