Is anyone else getting no end of calls about PCP on cars?

I have had 12 today. Every time I explain I have never had any PCP loans etc.

I have tried blocking numbers and they just call from another one digit away from the previous.

Is there an effective way to stop this?

The problem is you 'explaining'. Do not engage with them or you may appear on a 'mugs list'. Either ignore or be extremely abusive

Is this on a mobile? I don't answer unless I recognise the number.

If it's important they'll leave a message, but usually scam callers ring off after a couple of rings.

As with all nuisance calls say nothing and cancel it.
On our landline - now digital voice - BT announces it could be a nuisance call on the screen so saves me the bother of even picking it up.

As above, if you dont recognise the number then dont answer it.

If you do and they start with their ste, then say nothing and end the call.

Ive seen an increase in scam calls over the last few weeks. It either comes up as "suspected spam" or a mobile number that is not in my phone book. So I never answer either. Its another reason why my phone is always on silent.

I'm still mostly getting calls about "the car accident you had recently" but generally I don't pick up unknown numbers, unless I'm waiting for a call from a workman etc
