This isn't something you read about too often given the rarity plus the fact a lot of people especially in the public eye just keep quiet.

Fair play to him for coming forward and what an absolute piece of filth Adams is.

Never heard of either of them but I'm not really warming to Caroll either: "The ex-Premier League footballer recently pleaded not guilty to breaching a non-molestation order after being accused of repeatedly calling his reality TV star ex-wife Billi Mucklow.

Carroll has formally entered a plea of not guilty to the charge and is due to stand trial next January."

Also, he punched Adams unconcious, and his reason was Adams had SA'd him. Might well be true, but equally he might have punched Adams for some other reason and used the SA to excuse that. I hope the evidence was good.

Well he's already been convicted and jailed, so guess it was pretty good

Given his uselessness for Liverpool, just giving him a good old fashioned kicking would have been entirely acceptable. No need to dick about…

Does 'I hope the evidence was good' apply equally to the allegation against Carroll, or only to the allegation that might justify his actions?

I suspect it will be VERY easy to prove Carroll broke a non-molestation order (or didn't). So, yeah, if he's convicted I'll assume he's legit guilty and vice versa. Frankly the fact there *is* a non-molestation order speaks volumes about the guy.

In contrast punching someone into unconsciousness/SA feels like one person's word against another, so yeah, I'm more uneasy about that. Maybe the evidence was good, in which case great.

Some crimes are easier to prove than others.

Some fair points.

I'd assume the evidence is good if it was proven at court.
