I would like to incorporate a 2nd single garage (6m x 4m) alongside the existing one, a bit of googling has suggested these build costs (I’m planning to employ the separate trades as opposed to giving the whole job to a builder.

Do they look to be in the right ballpark?

Existing garage

What I’d like to achieve

Blocks approx 30 m2 / (10 blocks / m2, @£2.5 / block) £750
Groundworks £2000
Concrete slab£4000
Cost to lay blocks£600
Rafters £500
Roof labour and slate £4000
Render walls £500
Garage door £3000

Have you thought about knocking that one down and building a double timber one instead?

Can't help with the other costs, but I've just had a 7' tall x 8' wide electric sectional garage door fitted for £2600.

I have a 6m x 6m gargae, I extended it by 3m so added a 3m x 6m section. It cost me about £12k in materials as I did everything myself. Materials are mental. Roof trusses are about £100 each so my 6 were £600. My slab was only £500 worth of concrete though. My garage door was under £1500 (again self fit), lintal was a beast though and £1330 for it!.

Before (bin to guage how far out I was coming.

Structure finished.

Ive never layed a brick before or built anything so I had to use google a few times.

I'd say miles out.
Cost to lay blocks, £2000?
Render walls £2000. The render alone will be £300.
Roof sounds too cheap
Roof membrane?
Roof valley?
Wall plate and straps?
Eves, soffits?
Guttering, drainpipe, soakaway.
Electrics.

These are my costs. No labour in there. I also missed quite a few trips to toolstation and screwfix off as I forgot to add them. And trips there always seem to be atleast £100.
My roof tiles, side window and side door were used which is why they were so cheap.

I would say around £15k is more like it.
