I've got 4 panels resting on my garage flat roof - temporarily propped up at an angle on some blocks of wood, and mostly sheltered from the wind by a small parapet wall. With winter coming I need to get them mounted properly so they don't blow away in a storm - I've priced up Renusol/Fastensol kits and they all seem to come in at ~£350 for some tubs, rails and clamps - seems madness to me...

I don't want to drill in to my flat roof so I think that only really leaves me with the tub/rail systems, but I can't bring myself to spend the same as the panel/inverter again on some simple mounting hardware.

What am I missing, anyone found any good solutions?

I've seen plenty using frames with slabs/blocks holding them down, obviously stick some rubber or felt under the frames to stop the roof getting holed.

"Renusol/Fastensol kits" - they make great kit - I guess you are paying for the convenience. The Fastenol element of my solar setup (trade cost, self install) was a chunky portion of teh entire setup. The least time spent on the roof is the best amount of time, and they know it.
