1996 Nissan 200SX Road Legal Drift Car
Discussion
hello, I’ve seen this for sale previously on a drift works forum back in September 2025. I noticed you mentioned back then about the VVT rattle only at idle but you never mentioned anything about the misfire.
Also when was the engine rebuilt and by who. And has the misfire been since the rebuild?
Thanks Matt

Hi Matt,
Its not actually a misfire, there was previously intermittent stuttering when the vehicle is wet/has been wet, however it seems when its dry there is no signs of any stutter etc. The stutter is fuel starvation, which I believe is likely caused by a sensor reading wrong values when wet, but as I say, no sign of any issues in the dry!
The engine was built by the Falken Team, in 2005-2006 era.
Hope this helps? Cheers.
