Who thinks this is an improvement ?

Are they trying to claim some Scottish credentials when Bruce was a Kiwi ?

Great Grandfather Robert Howie was Scottish as were other relatives going back, his son Benjamin Howie was born in Australia after Robert emigrated there. There is no McLaren name in their family tree, Bruce's grandfather Benjamin was born in McLaren Vale, South Australia. He and his wife changed their surname to McLaren in 1900.

What is the sense of the owners - now Abu Dhabi owned and the brand combined under the same roof with Gordon Murray Automotive and the Chinese volume players NIO and Forsevern - what’s the plan ? Is the aim to produce a material volume of EV and have McL and GMA as halo ?

The owners of McLaren own Gordon Murray Technologies, not Automotive.

“Technologies” is the business behind Gordon’s iStream production technology. The cars business is owned by a guy called Tarik Oass since December last year.
