Missing 3 year old (Noah Woods)

He's partially deaf and non-verbal, so a lot more vulnerable.
Was with a relative when he ran off down an alleyway towards a housing estate
So at this present moment, he's been missing for 19 hours
The local community have turned out in their hundreds to help search

To be honest my wife was extra upset as it's local and feels like it could of been us with a child of similar age, we were talking about it last night.

Really hope there is a happy ending to this

I can't even read about it, I've got a 4 year old and thinking about what he/the family must be going through is heartbreaking. It's local to us, I was close to going out last night and helping (I only heard about it at about 11.30pm) but to be honest I didn't think they would want to be overloaded with volunteers, possibly doing more harm than good. I am regretting it now, but I don't think I've got the mental strength to be potentially looking for a body rather than a scared child. My friend's child died at 3 years old and the loss is absolutely apocalyptic, sickening, indescribable.

It's horrendous. I have everything crossed for a happy outcome, I can't bear to think of the alternative.

Localish to me. Very worrying situation given his age and additional vulnerabilities, I've read the public response to assist in searching has been significant. Which partly makes it more surprising he hasn't been found yet.

Quite horrible reading that there are lots of volunteers walking the river bank :-(

Also really eery to read that search teams are all silently walking, as they've been told that shouting will not help and to avoid it.

Can only hope for the best but have to fear the worst.

Having young kids around the time of Madeleine McCann we lived through the same feelings then. I can assure the parents of youngsters that those feelings don't disappear when they become adults.

Police said at 13:22 that they didn't suspect anything Sinister in his disappearance.
Brave thing to say, and I prey they are correct.
Wouldn't want to be the relative who was looking after him at the time.

I think if there was going to be a positive outcome to this it would have happened by now. Three-year-olds aren t capable of disappearing in such a tiny community surely they don t walk for miles and miles. That river close by worries me, as I m sure it does others. Let s hope there s a good ending. My grandson is 20 months old. Can t imagine what the parents are going through.

It's an absolutely horrendous situation and really hits home as I have a 3 yo and a 1yo. After such a long amount of time it really doesn't look good - I just hope that there is some resolution quickly for the sake of the family

It's looking very ominous. My heart goes out to them. He sounds very similar to my 4yo nephew so I can begin to imagine what they must be feeling.

It was a grandfather apparently. I imagine the parents know how their son behaves and doesn't blame them, but it must be awful.

Yes, and Madeleine McCann who disappeared next building sites at the top of a road downhill to the sea, and Ben Needham who disappeared next to a building site.

It's almost as though the Media can sell more copy if they play up the most horrific and newsworthy options in these cases.

How awful. Our lad is 11 now and I am a little more relaxed about things but at that age I was overly anxious about something like this happening so never used to let him out of my sight, which was tiring in itself.

Really hoping for a positive outcome.

It seems hugely likely he'll be in the lake unfortunately. We had someone drown locally in a big lake and it took 3 days to find him, and that was with people seeing him in trouble beforehand.

We have a seriously autistic chid at home and he was a master at totally vanishing in an instant, the worst disappearing act he's ever done on us was getting into the car on the drive (we are very rural) and we kept walking past the car when looking for him until one of us spotted him sat still belted in as if he was ready to go out somewhere.

He's older now so we keep the doors locked and actually make sure one of us is watching him ALL the time. Its very tiring and he is still superfast and has zero comprehension of danger.

I really hope the little lad is found soon and is all good. I really feel their pain.
