Can I get a replacement gearchange cable bushing? see pics
Discussion
Can I get bushings for gear change cables on a 2009 Mitsubishi colt 1.3? I have just taken the gearbox out to do a clutch change and when popping one of the gearbox change cables off, the existing bushing rubber disintegrated (see photos). I have seen some inner plastic bushings online, but these don't look like the correct ones and are for other vehicles. I really don't want to spend a hundred pounds plus on a new set of cables when there is nothing wrong with my existing cables. The existing housing for the cable is approximately 30mm OD x 10mm deep, but thats a very rough measure as I did not have a vernier or even a proper ruler when measuring. Anyone know anything that would fit?

Is it not this on the bay of e? https://ebay.io/m/ywmQIw
that looks like the same product on aliexpres:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004316075649.h...
On that listing a buyer in the reviews states: "This rubber fitting does not fit on the mistubishi colt gear shifting mechanism. It is way too large and the inner ring is does not fit a sphere joint."

Is/was there a plastic or metal bit in the middle that fits on a ball/spigot/whatever? If you've still got that then clean all the rotten rubber off both parts, then do the 'fill up the gap with goo' method already suggested should get you back on the road.
Yes there was a plastic bit, but I seem to have lost it. What about grinding that metal spigot off and then replacing with a bolt and 2 washers and a nut? The bolt would pass thought a plastic centre made from a bit of pipe and the rest of the void filled with Polyethylene. How does that sound for a lasting repair?
