Fibre install 3rd party
Discussion
Y/day was interesting,,,3rd party came on behalf of BT
Got it installed getting around power using extension as recommended, then shortly after found I could use my 10m mini tip extension
( I have yet to actually do the tidy work to conceal cables but have some duct tidy I will use ).
Phone is STILL connected lol, for how long?
Fitter drilled a lot of holes, think he did at least one too many in completely the wrong place lol. Which I have now sealed up.
I appreciate by looks of it some were several smaller holes to attaching a security for the ladder
Also glued up the massive hole he left for the incoming cable (much bigger than cable itself), at least when they fitted FTTC they had the nicety of sealing any holes to the outside ( also made a nice fracture of the brickwork trying to drill it there too lol ). This is what happens when you try and drill on the edge of a brick)
Regardless it was completed and working just a bit slapdash in places.
Still got phone, master socket and associated wiring. Is it normal they leave all this in place or going to remove it at some point?
The competitive nature of the wiring ( FTTP vs FTTC on 2 totally different paths) is annoying to look at, the earlier one they concealed at the side and this one is visible from the front.
