Getting quotes for a replacement patio > porcelain and just over 70m2. Knew it was expensive, but some of the South Bucks firms are having a laugh…or there are some very rich people around. Biggest quote I’ve had is £300 / square metre ! Mind you, the cheapest is still just under ~£200 / m2 ! That is with the porcelain we have chosen as £50 per square metre.

We've just been quoted for a porcelain paved drive,

not a massive area and the quote is for just over £24K

I m having 40 m squared of porcelain, 37 m squared of block driveway 40m squared new lawn , a 16x13 ft concrete pad with a log cabin built on it plus edging, flower bed built plus a large raised clad planter built drains moved cable ran out and wired up (40m) a new front step , a 40 m squared limestone patio re-grouted

Some other sundries and bits and bobs fixed or built
£25 k all in

Some quotes were mental but to be honest a 70m squared porcelain patio for £14k sounds pretty much bang on

Thanks folks. I went in thinking £180/m2 so when I saw the £300 was a bit surprised. Good to know the one we are going with is more on point. The most expensive one gave me the number as the starting before even coming round, and couldn’t do a site visit for 3 weeks, so they are clearly busy at those prices…..I guess that’s what comes from being close to Beaconsfield & Gerrards Cross !
