Last minute Euro hol - relaxing, posh, near stuff?

As above, I've found plenty of nice hotels (5 Star) but I am conscious many are a bit out of town and I want somewhere to go to eat and drink in the evenings. Anywhere in Europe, preferably hot (which most of it is) right now.

Any recommendations?
