OK so it's probably cheap junk but quite entertaining:

I rather like the Tourbillon: https://shop.diywatch.club/collections/tourbillon

I see it's £995 and also $995... why do they do that?

As somebody who has become a watch fan over the last few years and now probably considered a "collector" I've often thought about "having a go" under guidance so this kind of thing interests me.

It's significantly cheaper and easier to do this with Seiko parts and a few youtube videos.

Customer service seems good:
'The prices on the website are automatically adjusted by the system, and due to differences in import taxes etc, the prices may vary smile Please enjoy this slight discount for your order: WelcometoDWC'

The chances of 'import taxes etc' making both figures exactly the same does seem rather unlikely though (but easier to do the accounts!)

My daughter is contemplating dentistry (maxillofacial reconstruction) or medicine and I'm contemplating getting her one of these kits so she can practice fine motor skills: https://timecraftwatchmaking.com/

Basic movement kit to play with: £75
'Upgrade' kit to give it a skeleton case / face / bracelet: £169

Zero expectations of real quality, more a means to an end, but she may have a starter auto watch that she can look at and tell people she made it.
