Could the seller please confirm:

1. Who the legal seller is and whether this is Garage Whifbitz stock/consignment?
2. Whether the original Japanese auction sheet and auction photographs are available, including auction grade and mileage.
3. That the 3,936km mileage is verified against the Japanese auction documentation.
4. Whether the car has ever had any paintwork, repairs or accident damage in Japan.
5. Whether the car has ever been ECU tuned or modified and confirm it is currently completely standard.
6. The exact Japanese-market exhaust/emissions specification, including whether it has an OPF/GPF and whether the original catalytic converter remains.
7. What Japanese servicing has been carried out and whether copies of the service records are available.
8. Whether any dealer/seller warranty is included.
9. Why the car is being sold through auction rather than normal retail.
10. Whether a fresh MOT and independent pre-collection inspection/dyno test could be arranged for the winning bidder.

2. Yes that's available
3. Yes
4. Not as far as im aware, it's a auction grade 5A so no accident damage.

6. Jap spec cars don't have GPF's instead they have two catalytic converts which are still in place as the car is completely standard.
7. It come with a Japaneese service book, showing a service at 1738km and a service at 3694km
8. No dealer warranty

10. The car doesn't need a mot until 2027 as it is not yet 3 years old.

Thanks for the detailed answers, much appreciated. Please could you upload the Japanese auction sheet and the two Japanese service record pages to the listing when convenient?

Could you also confirm that the car has passed the required UK vehicle approval/IVA process and that all necessary UK-specification compliance modifications have been carried out (e.g. rear fog light, speedometer etc.)? If you have the IVA certificate/approval documentation, could you upload that as well?

Finally, can you confirm whether this particular car has the factory JBL premium audio system?

The car is UK registered so yes it has passed all required tests. Yes the car is fitted with the JBL speakers, you can see them in the interior photos.

Hi,

After importing a JDM car myself can you answer the following niggly things that are on mine please?

1. Units of measurement on dash(es)? Are these in metric? Ie. km/l etc?
2. How does the speedo work with ref to mph? And how is the dash updated?
3. Satnav/head unit. Is the Satnav set to Japanese Mapping only? Or does it have European maps loaded?
4. Radio? Is this Japanese frequencies only?
5. English. Is there anything that is not settable on the dash/computer to English? Or spoken in Japanese?

Thanks.

1. The odometer reads in kilometres but the speedo reads in MPH.
2. The speedo is converted to MPH, with a sticker over the KPH.
3. Santav shows in Japan. But the car has apple car play so you can connect your phone to it and use whatever navegation app you prefer.
4. FM Radio but only goes up to i believe 94.9, although again through carplay you can put a radio app on it.
5. All the dash is english.

Thanks.... Pretty much the same as my Subaru then. Strange. You'd think with them being sold elsewhere that all the stuff like maps and radio would be possible to update/change...

Hi,
I've tried to look for insurance on this car but have had no luck. The V5C pictured doesn't have any model or type information listed, simply as TOYOTA.
Is there any way to get past this issue?
The RZ high-performance trim is equivalent to the Circuit pack in the UK, but they won't consider it as such.

Unfortunately that's how the V5 comes from DVLA.

Have you tried using the reg for a quote? Usually Admiral are quite good for imports.

Admiral is the first one I've tried, but unfortunately, they specifically told me that if the model isn't in their database, they won't cover it (RZ High Performance). I spoke to them on the phone for a while without much luck.
