My wife’s Boxster needs a major service including spark plugs and brake fluid, Hatfield have quoted £1800 to do this. The car is under warranty with Porsche and we’d rather keep the car serviced in the network to allow us to extend the warranty again. Is there any kind of scheme that OPC’s operate as some manufacturers do to provide reduced labour costs for cars that are over a certain age?

Many OPCs will do a discount for PCGB members. Bournemouth and Portsmouth are alleged to do 25% off parts and labour.
I confirmed with Portsmouth that it is the case last week when booking my Boxster in for a ten year service and MoT.

Had mine serviced at OPC earlier this year and was given a labour discount as the car was 10 years old. Not sure if that is a nationwide Porsche thing but it was the case up North.
Made the service cost very close to an independent in the end so no complaints from me smile

Definitely worth ringing around - huge differences in cost between some OPCs.

The table above was for "Participating Centres" only and hasn't existed for some years. Pre COVID I think.

My local OPC gives 10% loyalty discount and a further 10% for cars from 8yrs old. It’s a fair chunk off the service of my OG GT4. I also provide my own oil, saving the ridiculous mark up Porsche charge.
