I'm looking to purchase a Vw transporter, has any one had any positive experiences with any local to the lake district dealers? Also happy to travel if we can find a trustworthy seller elsewhere.

Local'ish but there are loads of horror stories about some dealerships in Carlisle. The types who rip people off and then close up and re-open under another name a few weeks later.
