Caravan and Motorhome Club rallies, anyone been on one?

It's never floated my boat, but next year I plan to try a few to take advantage of some of the locations they get to pitch up on which can be lovely, though I wont be wanting to get involved in any activities

I am in the camping and Caravanning club and frequently make use of their THS (temporary holiday sites). Some great locations at great prices, as long as you are self contained.
I rarely if ever take part in the activities though, this doesn’t seem to be an issue.

We've stayed at the CAMHC temp site at Beaulieu, the only contact we had with the organisers was when we checked in

Obviously a great location for the museum

I think next year I'll join the C&CC as well, best of both worlds.
As well as their THS sites, am I right in thinking they also have the equivalent of C&MC 5 van sites (which they call Certified Locations)?

Yes, correct. I have seen a few CLs as sometimes the THS are organised at the same location (e.g. adjacent field with same landowner). Never stayed at a CL but have often stayed at the C&CC main sites which have always been clean and without issue.

Thanks. I try and always stay at CL s as they can be in fantastic locations. I m sure the C&CC equivalents will be the same. I think they call them Certified Sites?

Indeed. Plus there's now CAMPRA aires that you need to be a member to access, but it is free to join, and I don't think anyone checks.
