Do I spy a stud and nut conversion there? Has anything else been changed from standard spec?
Hi, Yes it has a stud and nut kit fitted, forgot to mention this but have just updated the advert. It also has 12mm front and 10mm rear wheel spacers fitted. Other than that its had the helix clutch fitted, new OEM DMF Flywheel along with a braided clutch hose as mentioned. The OEM clutches on these are know to fail and slip so this upgrade ensures this wont happen and it will also handle more power if the next owner wishes. Thanks
Good evening. I m interested in the car but The car specification from Factory is different to this car. The car was ordered with the Recaro Wingback Seats and without DCC Dynamic Chassis Control.
What have happened to the original desirable seats and why does the advert say it has DCC.
Can you supply the VW Build sheet for this car as the car doesn’t stack up to the Service Book Options page. Thanks

I’m not sure where you’re getting this information from as that is incorrect. The car was not spec’d with the recaro seats from factory. The advert says it has DCC because it has it and it was spec’d with the DCC option from factory. The car was a press car and can be seen in Volkswagen Driver Magazine January 2017 issue.

Daniel
DCC is option 2H6, which is not listed, and UB2 & G34 are listed which is the passive system. Mode switch then on the infotainment screen in chassis options will show DCC driving and will show comfort option. Can you send a photo of that please?
The seats are listed as the Recaro Wingback option Q4P, so can you ring up VW for official Certificate Build sheet, or the only plausible reason was their was a long delay for wingback seats and this being a press car they had to supply with standard seats quickly and never updated the computer..

Hi Maura, if you are genuinely interested in the car please come and view the car and I’ll show you the DCC fully working. With regards to the seats the 53 number under PNS means - Titanium Black / Clubsport sport seats according to the VW owners pages
Other than that I don’t know what more I can say other than please come and view the car if your interested
Regards
53 is the colour code, not type of seats. I’ve just checked on the owners group and car 003 and 005 were also press cars and they came with the wingback seats, so not delayed. Photo of the comfort setting will suffice, not making a trip to do that. VW Build sheet shows how the car was originally ordered..

Hi Maura, sorry but you’re wrong again. 53 is the interior trim option as stated. L0K1 is the paint code for Oryx White, 53 is not even a VW paint code. Please see below proof of the DCC also if you look at the advert pictures 192 and 193 you can see the DCC plugs on the rear suspension

Hi,
I don t have countless questions ? but I do have just one. Is there a record of the thermostat & water pump having been done?
Thanks!

No record of those parts being changed, I’ve not had any issues in the time I’ve owned the car with coolant getting too warm or lowering at all. I know VW doesn’t list it as an interval service part but many owners seem to change it around the 60k - 80k miles range as a precaution.

The sticker and service book are not sources for specification; for some reason this fallacy persists online. The build sheet (and only way to view the correct factory spec) is stored in erwin.Edited by maura on Sunday 2nd August 19:52
A nice example, good luck with the sale.
Just for clarification, the seat belts and centre armrest on this car are as you would expect to find with the regular, non Recaro bucket seat option.
Both are different with the Recaro equipped cars. Even if someone takes the Recaros out, I have yet to see the armrest and all 4 seat belts changed at the same time.

Hi, did the original clutch slip on the back of a remap?
Hi Matt, the car has not been remapped nor has it ever been.Yes the original clutch was slipping when I bought the car so I fitted a Helix clutch and new OEM DMF as the original clutches are know the be rubbish. The new clutch feels very similar to the OEM but has much higher clamping force and it will handle more power than OEM if the new owner wishes to remap the car.
