This really should just be full of the censored smiley. Two months planning an event and right at the death one thing causes the whole thing to come crashing down. Does anyone else feel like the gods are conspiring against them at times?

Ultimately it will hopefully all sort itself out but it’s the additional hassle, cost and stress that just drives me nuts.

Modern life has its advantages but but the disadvantages are certainly there in spades.

Dammit, I’ve even claimed my planned rant down to an almost sensible post.

Try being a Drag Racing event organizer/promotor :
Buy materials for track prep, set up all infrastructure, get staff to work on-site for a weekend,
advertise to whatever (the rest of your) budget allows,
and on the weekend it just rains,no wheel turns, no crowd turns up.
Cudos to everyone doing that, from grass roots events to Euro Championship level.
