Best bang for buck adaptive cruise control car for c£6k

My research is asking ai so that's my level of knowledge haha, but I keep on coming back to a Suzuki baleno sz5. You can for example get a 2017 70k miles or so with both acc and climate control which seems a bit god tier, just wondering if there are plenty of other options out there. All I really want is a car that stops you driving Into the car in front of you for as good a value as possible.
Don't care about driving experience etc, is there owt out there that can compete with the baleno (or swift I guess) at this price point with these features??

I would guess some sort of VAG product as they've been putting it in a lot of things for quite some time - you will definitely get a few Golfs at that the mid 4 figure range with ACC.
Particularly well specced pre facelift F56 Mini Coopers could also be had with ACC, although I suspect ones soecced that well would be high 4 figures still.
You could also lease a new Jeep Avenger or VW T-Cross for a few years for around £6k all in, both of which have ACC as standard. Sure its 6k gone, but i dont imagine a Sizuki Balero costing £6k now will be worth much more than scrap 3 years down the line, so there wouldn't be much in it when you account for the interest youd earn on the future lease payments.
Theres obviously a host of early 2000s smoker barges which would have it in one form or another, but obviously the low upfront cost of one of those is not representative!

Is that a regular experience? The trouble with narrowing your search down to one feature on an old cheap car is you'll ignore all the issues and increase the risk of buying a heap of trouble. Wills2 said:

You will need the 2016 facelift shape I think, and you'll need to increase your budget a bit too, but I think they are great cars, and being a Toyota it won't go wrong.

Is an electric tailgate a desirable feature? I really rate my wife's Rav4 (well Across really but same thing) but the electric tailgate is a PITA! Ridiculously slow and much more hassle than just opening the thing yourself. Solves a problem that didn't really existand would quite happily ditch the electric motors tomorrow if I could! You will need the 2016 facelift shape I think, and you'll need to increase your budget a bit too, but I think they are great cars, and being a Toyota it won't go wrong.

I don't think it solves a problem as such, but I find it convenient to be able to open and close at the touch of a button, from inside the car, or from the key fob. Completely get where you're coming from OP, ACC is the number one feature for me on a daily nowadays and one I won't do without.
When I did a search like this once I kept coming up with mid 2010s Passats, never drove one and can't vouch for the quality of the ACC system but would add that to your list.
