Tried putting this in Audi forum, but no joy so far. Maybe some previous owners on here.

Audi A3 hatchback
2009 1.9 D
Problem with the doors unlocking.

Exactly the same with both keys and new batteries in each.

Press the fob once drivers door unlocks. But on second press within 5 seconds most of the time the other 3 doors do not open. Sometimes they do.

All doors open from the inside, then if you close them with out locking, you can open them all from the outside as normal.

After a bit of googling it seems something called the comfort module, which is in the boot or under the drivers side dash.

Anybody had similar problems or can offer advice.

Thanks Andy.

All I know is they are a pita on some vag cars, some are located under the passenger side carpet and can fill with water.
Identify the exact location first.

Sorry,only just seen your reply.
The comfort unit has to be re-programmed to the car.I assume would be expensive.
So i thought the cheaper option is to try a £25 door lock off the action site.
Fitted and door worked ok. Ordered 2 more.
Managed to get the rear door trim off that wouldn't open at all, smashed the lock and replaced with a new one. All in all it cost £85 inc postage, for 3 locks.
All doors now work. Happy daughter (and Dad)
