Hi peter2reed, you are indeed correct. Unfortunately the winning bidder was unable to complete the purchase.
Please do feel free to ask any specific questions on the car, or arrange a viewing, or possibly present a pre auction offer to the seller if you are still interested.

Once again good luck with your bidding everyone

Curious to why one of the side Honda S2000 badges is missing?!

Has the car had any paint work?

It is believed the car had some minor paint on the passenger side for minor scratches by the previous owner. It was bought without the badge

I believe the winning bidder didn t proceed as the car was mis described due to poor paintwork that wasn t declared clearly in the advert.

So Pistonheads, in the interest of fairness and being open and honest, what were the reasons the car didn t sell ?

Thanks for your comment.
As previously advised, the previous auction did not complete because the winning bidder was unable to proceed with the purchase. We aren't able to discuss the private circumstances or decision-making of individual bidders. While we can’t discuss private communications between buyers and sellers, re-listings happen for a variety of reasons, from finance falling through to personal circumstances.

The seller has confirmed that the vehicle has had some minor paintwork to the passenger side during a previous ownership for minor scratches, this is disclosed in the listing / comments section. Our consignment team reviewed the lot before re-listing and was satisfied the advert and extensive independently appraised photo gallery accurately represent the car. As with all our auctions, we encourage prospective bidders to review the full description, ask any questions they may have, arrange an inspection if they wish, and satisfy themselves as to the vehicle's condition before bidding.
If you have any specific questions regarding the car itself, we'll be happy to help answer them where possible.

Thank you for your comment. The seller advises that the paint is as per a 20 plus year old car , there are some imperfections and hazing, but these are all shown in the images. As stated they understand the passenger door had some minor repairs for scratches from previous owner. The underside has surface corrosion but nothing serious has been picked up on MOT or servicing reports. Rest assured the car has not been in any accidents to their knowledge and the paintwork is as seen in the images presented, a very honest example.

Good luck with your bidding
