As it says on the title really.... Don't want to spend the earth, but looking for somewhere to stay next weekend. I know one decent hotel, but will I save a bundle if I stay a little further out from the West End?

As always any suggestions/links welcome.

Damn my stingyness Excuse my ignorance, is that a hotel, or just an area to look?

Avoid the Hilton and the Raddisson.

The Strand Palace, opposite the Savoy, isn't too bad. It's perfectly positioned for the West End and rates on Expedia seem quite reasonable (for Central London anyway). Stayed there before a few years ago and it was alright.

Try www.laterooms.com/en/hotels_london.html and then select central London. There are good deals for short notice on there.
