Buying a new project and need to move it from Hereford to West Yorkshire. Struggling to find someone who can do it, preferably without me having to go down again, and trusting it’s not going to disappear. Anyone got any movers they trust somewhere between Hereford and West Yorkshire? Open trailer should be fine.

I'd highly recommend any van, very fair price, tracking available abd excellent comms

https://www.anyvan.com/instant-prices/car/listing-...

Lots of positive reviews on Trustpilot etc as well

2nd that. Wait for a few days until the bidders fight each other to a lower price… then select off reviews.

Cheers. Checked and he says he’s too far away and wouldn’t be competitive.

You could try Sir Winchalot. Collected a car for me in Maidstone and delivered it to South Yorkshire. Good communication throughout and the best price I could find when looking.

I use Shiply & they've always come up with good options.

Just do your own vetting: ask to see their Hire & Reward insurance, Goods-in-Transit insurance, and a valid driving licence. This will weed out 95% of the operators and leave you with the choice of a few expensive, reliable ones.

I used Shiply a couple of times over the years and were OK, but friends had very bad experiences, inc a car stolen!

Anyvan seem a much slicker operation

Neither is a slick operation and a lot of chancers use the site.

Word of mouth locally will find a decent operator, probably not as cheap as the sites for a reason.

Google should find you one too, lots of reputable transport companies out there.

Again, Any van and Shipley are just third party convenience sellers, relying on lazy people finding them in searches and not bothering with due diligence.

The brainwashing to using third party convenience astounds me lol.

Your judgement post astounds me lol.

AnyVan is a step above above Shipley, as it provides GPS and WhatsApp tracking.
This is a great value add to me and not used by many transport companies
